A cocky looking officer walks in and props his feet up on the table. In one hand, he is holding a cup of steaming hot coffee. He sips it before pulling out his small data pad and continuing the video he had paused approximately two years ago.

13/04/2016 at 23:52 #7207Maurice AllardParticipantAdmiral Mundy?
13/04/2016 at 16:42 #7146Maurice AllardParticipantI love the apprehension in Aramond’s voice before the Raven went through the gate.
Also, all that the senior officers got for this mission idea was “Transport classified secret weapon to redacted sector.” We made it up just to fill a slot two weeks ago.

*Maurice mumbled behind his e-cigarette as another puff of vapor filled the air.*
11/04/2016 at 22:53 #6976Maurice AllardParticipant*Maurice Allard had spent the last hour smoking his electronic cigarette. The nicotine helped him cope with all that had happened in his life. From the academy, to the horrors of live combat, nicotine never failed. The same couldn’t be said about his loyalty. Those scales of loyalty to his captain, or loyalty to the government, violently tipped back and forth like a teeter-totter as he walked in the bar. Instantly, he noticed his comrades, and silently slipped in to a chair to listen to the conversation.*
11/04/2016 at 01:53 #6908Maurice AllardParticipantWell, Leonard and I were thinking of it being optional. I understand most people are here to play Artemis, not go on teamspeak and pretend to steal data, lie in court, or blackmail inquisitors.
I had a simple idea of having those who opted for the court-martial fill out a character sheet that was simply 5 categories with a set number of points they could allocate to those categories. Any action someone wanted to do (say pick a lock to an admiral’s quarters) would be the sum of a category. It wouldn’t be a hard, combat based RP thing persay. It was all hypothetical.
Yeah, I thought it’d be on TS, aboard station, you know?
19/02/2016 at 18:22 #5259Maurice AllardParticipantRight, a couple of problems with the flightlead/CAG/SWACs position:
Target designations don't appear on screen for fighters. Friendly designations don't appear on screen for fighters. Friendly designations can change depending on who panics and picks a different fighter.
Solution:
Flight lead is the leader flying who can suggest formations. SWACs/CAG is on a science console on the carrier directing individual ships toward targets relative to their position since the target designations do not show up on the fighter's screens.
Assuming we ran a carrier, had a sci-comm combined role, and only ran three fighters, the crew would still number 9. That would be the Commander, helm, weapons, engineering, sci-comm, SWACs, flight-lead, and two fighters. Unless we can keep our numbers up, we probably wouldn’t be able to afford the manpower cost.
A full crew would be 6, and we would want to run 4 ships as it is (assuming we scrap one of the cruisers for a carrier), so we would need 33 people at LEAST in the division to run a carrier.
That’s just my two cents.

20/01/2016 at 14:31 #3975Maurice AllardParticipantWhy not mixing 1 and 2? Remember on Star Trek how the comms would be like “blank is hailing us” and then they would put it on the main screen? So the hawk’s comms would contact the Hydra’s comms, Hydra comms would say that it was okay to patch directly through, and then I could scold Verok for blowing us up again.
