Another presence enters the virtual suite, although it does not manifest itself as an officer. It appears as what could only best be described as a cloud of static — the highly encrypted nature of the comms band apparently being used to access the virtual suite has not done justice for the image of whoever was apparently broadcasting. Out of the cloud of static flies a datapad, which lands on the virtual table. The manifest cloud of static soon fades as the connection terminates.

Makes me think about the original specs for the Griffzungenschwert.

    An interesting question indeed.

To address the point, I consider the roleplay in the TSN to be PARAMOUNT, to a serious personal fault. Let’s be honest: Artemis is an alright game and all, but it has its quirks, flaws, and ultimate extent in terms of just how much non-RP (raw combat and activity) gameplay you can squeeze from it. It’s really the people, the community, that keeps it going. I’d love to see a lot more adherence to roleplay within the TSN, but both game mechanics and the underlying nature of people ( some people are indeed just here for the game and that’s fine, us RPers find RP ways to justify their non-RP-conforming actions) are natural barriers to that.

I’ll leave it there for now, since it’s rather touchy as far as subjects go for us. I almost thought about not poking in this thread because of how passionate I am about the RP.

I killed all of Humanity by flushing them out of the airlock. It was good.

// @delpino I might be interested in that. Need some specifics/details first though.

This won’t hold during peacetime/downtime, but during times of suspected or confirmed sabotage/spy activity, NSD personnel have the authority to tap communications of and observe officers to ensure everyone is on the same team. If NSD knows someone is a spy, they have authority, once the proper paperwork is pushed through the Judge Advocate General’s office, to conduct an arrest on a suspect and begin questioning. NSD also has authority to order psychological evaluations on potentially mentally compromised personnel (like Expree when that alien device took him over).

// Some of the stuff NSD did to sniff out the spies during the arc.

The NSD is the internal security force of the Division itself (an overarching internal affairs unit would be the slightly unrelated Security Services Bureau) which played the role as the primary force against the traitors during the USF arc. NSD operatives’ jobs mainly revolve around vetting trouble and also general peacekeeping during downtime.

Chuck Finley was the elected head of the NSD force, and he appointed a few subordinates.

I have taken care of Xavier’s, shall we say, “rushed” announcement behind closed doors. Fear not, Mundy.

The TSN doesn’t formally sanction privateers, Mundy. Your mistake in interpreting this information has been noted and reported to Big Brother.

It’s good. But a problem asking the TSN, it’s a space navy, not an airship navy.
