Okay this is getting silly.
I actually almost got to report in today but then internet goes LOLNO.
I’m gonna ring up my ISP again but this always happens around 2100 on Fridays and Saturdays. My connection just seems to drop and teamspeak and online stuff hardly works. Steam can connect but only Steam Friends.
I hate the countryside.
Also to answer your second question (I didn’t see it sorry) I’d guess so. You can add whatever rewards/medals/ribbons you want to the system. The example I’ve shown in the image has a couple of medals and ribbons intermixed.
The way I’ve used it in the past is that the icons represent your uniform. On a uniform you’d only wear one of those medals, but in your personal record (in most cases the forums) it would state how many you actually have. This is usually the case with purple hearts among other things.
However, if you really wanted to show multiple medals with the server group then I see the best way to do it would be to make another server group with “Bronze Star x2” as the name and maybe a 2 somewhere on the icon.
I don’t think having too many would be an issue because TSN doesn’t have that many medals and realistically nobody will have all of them. Your point of them showing up outside of the TSN RP channels is correct though, but personally I don’t think that would be a problem. That’s down to interpretation though as if you take the IC/OOC border on TS really seriously then it’s not a viable option.
I don’t understand what you mean by tags. The icons obviously will be there and they position themselves cumulatively justified to the right with a left-to-right order of group id number.
I’ve seen this implementation on a lot of roleplay teamspeak servers for various games from ArmA Realism units to things like Star Wars the Old Republic. As someone who has spent around 5+ years dealing with teamspeak server administration I can honestly say it’s an easy and simple system to use once it has been set up.

A licence key through Steam is still technically a licence, so worst case scenario wouldn’t we be able to provide a link to the older client to those who already have purchased the game?

But yes, he summed up my thoughts on the matter too. Maybe a list of people “interested” in command roles would be good? So if a spot opens up people can apply or picked from that list?
