    OPERATIONAL DEBRIEFING FOLLOWS….

The 4th Light Division, consisting of ISN Oblivion, ISN Relentless, ISN Invictus, and ISN Excision, broke from its cover as part of the Imperial Stellar Navy and used the excuse of a patrol for potential dissidents in Titan system to enter Atlantis system and liberate its senior officers from Atlantis Command.

Ship signatures were spoofed to present as the incoming 1st Hunter Group, temporarily assigned to replace and train up replacements for 3rd Hunter Group who were destroyed by 4LD in the commission of crimes against humanity some time ago.

A misjump on transition to Atlantis placed the division at the Waypoint 60 gate. The division attempted to travel to Atlantis Command under cover of nebulae but was foiled when pirate attacks on commercial shipping in the Al’Mare gate sector drew the attention of a local ISN patrol. Instead they transitioned to the sector of Titan Gate which is where 1HG would have arrived. At this point another mis-jump/transition occurred as some major event disrupted the whole gate network.

The division continued to ATLCMD, where a major fleet presence was in transit between CMD and the Arietis Gate sector. Scouting the immediate area of the base, 4LD took their disguised vessels into dock, immediately deploying marine teams. The marines secured the docking bays and made a beeline for the conference wing where they found that the residence section was empty and conference attendees had just departed for Fortress Fenring with charges against them.

The alarm was raised and the division had to stave off nearby ISN vessels while the marine teams fought their way clear and were extracted by shuttle. It was a very close call for Excision and her shuttle to get clear.

Intercepting the convoy took place in sector VIII. The SOs were aboard a heavily escorted Griffzungenschwert Superdreadnought. Penetrating its EWAR the division deployed marine teams to key boarding points and extracted the detainees. Both Oblivion and Excision came close to total systems failure from combat damage during the engagement. The division then withdrew to the restricted whale preserve where the empire ranches the cosmozoans to extract some of the exotic matter which is a byproduct of their nebula grazing. Here they made rendezvous with the newly commissioned supply ship Grant, AWOL from her ostensible shakedown cruise.

After taking cover in a dense nebula the division rested crews. Then they explored the nearby area and disabled the automated Ranch-Station with an EMP. A strong Arvonian patrol was misdirected by ISN Relentless using nondescript ID codes, while the rest of the division escorted Grant to Spinward and the patrol departed.

The division found a recently abandoned asteroid base containing some TSN systems. Keeping Grant well clear of the station they deployed marines to thoroughly reconnoitre it while the ships stood down. This base may be sufficient as a temporary base of operations for the 4LD.

    …OPERATIONAL DEBRIEFING ENDS

    CURRENT FLEET INTELLIGENCE:

The division’s supply ship, ISN Grant, is available for use by the division. Lt. Cdr. Mundy remains in Imperial custody, in a starbase known as Fortress Fenring. Her rescue is a priority, as we are unsure how avid the Imperial Navy will be to interrogate her, despite Admiral Mundy’s sway over the matter. Cadet Hamilton’s whereabouts are unknown, but it is likely that she has found her way to this universe’s TSN. It is important the both Mundy and Hamilton return with us to our universe when we find a way to return.

    MISSION PLANNING:

Locate the rift control and psychic interlink forerunner artifacts to create the conditions for a return home. More immediately, recover our remaining officers being held on Fortress Base Fenring. Substantial preparation will be required for such a raid — assaulting a Fortress Base under a normal theoretical attack plan would be something only done with an armada of fleet craft, and perhaps supercarriers like Atlantia.

    TACTICAL RECOMMENDATIONS:

With vessel and supply replacement currently unavailable without raiding, minimize expenditure of supplies and risks to vessels.
