OPERATIONAL DEBRIEFING FOLLOWS….

The division moved to investigate the faint energy signature which appeared at the planet in Arcturus-VI. They deliberately attracted the attention of Rumarians while the Hjorden and non-combat units moved to the rendezvous with stealth. The demonstration of force was successful and just in time as the stealth cover was broken and other Rumarians had to be intercepted as they engaged the convoy.
All ships suffered ongoing effects of corrosion traced to the new kind of nebula found in Arcturus. This is what probably reduced the effectiveness of the stealth systems.
A landing party investigated the energy source on the planet surface while the rest of the flotilla assembled in orbit and dealt with the corrosive contamination.
Interactions with the planetary energy source amplify the effectiveness of Hjorden stealth technology. The flotilla established a temporary base at the point of maximum effect close to the planet.
Astrographic data was extracted from the defunct ancient planetary systems. A cadre of officers matched it to some aspects of the Arcturus system and extrapolated map data for remaining sectors. Two potential locii ranges for Jump Points were identified and sensor relays deployed at one of them to gather more precise information about a Jump entry point. Rumarians were fended off during the deployment and blinded with EMPs.

CURRENT DIVISION INTELLIGENCE:
The current system may contain two additional jump point exits.
Local nebulae present an ongoing hazard to combat effectiveness.
The ancient planetary energy signature is very effective amplifier of Hjorden stealth technology.

MISSION PLANNING:
Locate survival resources and exits from the Arcturus system.

TACTICAL RECOMMENDATIONS:
Expenditure of heavy ordnance must be authorized by a senior officer. Senior officers are required to limit the expenditure of heavy ordnance to a minimum until manufacturng or other resupply facilities are accessible.
Recovery of biologic beacons for recharge and reprogramming should be performed whenever possible.
Systems maintenance and endurance are of primary importance. All care should be taken to minimize damage to any system.
Xenology and Astrogation from first principles should be revised.
Rapid execution of fleet orders should be practiced to ensure windows of tactical opportunity are not lost and that disengagement can be executed on a hair-trigger.
