Editing posts

Bloody hell, I just figured out how to edit own posts even after the “Edit” link disappears from the post!

Just type in the URL: https://www.terranstellarnavy.net/forums/reply/####/edit/
where the #### is the number of your post as seen here. Then you can edit the post, even if the forums shouldn’t let you.

It does work, but not for the title posts, that is the posts that are the first in the topic.

So, from now on, to post a new log, create a new topic where the first post says nothing much, and then put the log in the second post of the topic. Then you can edit the log whenever you wish.

Ah, that explains why I couldn’t edit my log - it was the first post. I’ll keep that in mind for the future.

Yeah, sorry, I didn’t know about that limitation until Matsiyan told me about the error. A few tests showed what’s what.

Good news, you CAN edit the first post! All you have to do is append “/edit” to the URL! for example:

https://www.terranstellarnavy.net/forums/topic/***/edit

where **** is the title of the post with hyphens in for spaces. It’s easiest if you just navigate to the post you want to edit and add “/edit” to the end of the URL
