    OPERATIONAL DEBRIEFING FOLLOWS….

Further Kralien incursions into Volantis led to the deployment of the 4LD to continue policing the incoming fleets for dangerous ships. Numerous Kralien warships were destroyed. A transport with a hazardous military cargo blew up. Several transports of refugees declared allegiance to the Zolmari. A hospital ship requested asylum at Volantis command. A pair of transports that had taken over pirates trying to board them declared allegiance to the Zolmari. A USF task force that tried to intercept the Kraliens was destroyed.

The 4LD was sent to Cerberus sector VI to investigate hacking of the sensor net. A pirate freighter managed to take over Quesenc Station, and held civilians, including Ambassador Estes, hostage. They also accessed the Bloodhound III sensor network and corrupted local sensor buoys. USF forces entered the sector via Arrin gate apparently in league with the hostage takers. TSN Viper was destroyed. Stealth technology from the sensor buoy was used to allow a shuttle to approach close enough for marines to board the station without being detected and rescue the hostages.

    …OPERATIONAL DEBRIEFING ENDS

    CURRENT FLEET INTELLIGENCE:

Losing even one of the sensor buoys in Cerberus creates blind spots in the grid and more places where commerce raiders can hit innocent shippers and bases. Cerberus System Government is already pulling funds to increase its ISS complement in a bid to keep commerce raiders suppressed.
The chaos along the Border Region precipitated by the Kralien refugee crisis seems to be steadily increasing. While any apparent mass assaults are likely just to be more refugee convoys, the possibility still exists for Order forces to make raiding actions against sensitive targets. Stay alert.

    MISSION PLANNING:

Continue to be vigilant for undisciplined border transgressions from Kralien space. Traffic needs to be analysed carefully for vulnerable populations, surrenders should be offered wherever possible to leverage future factionalism and surrendered ships should be kept as widely separated as possible.

    TACTICAL RECOMMENDATIONS:

It is very clear that commerce raiders are still as dangerous a threat as they have been, with the loss of Viper. “Twenty structurally superfluous holes” seems to be a symptom commonly associated with extended exposure to gatling lasers. Arrow and Axe class ships especially should be checked for tractor beams as this combination is difficult to handle. Other forms of commerce raiders should not be discounted since they can tractor us as well.

As a result of various field casualties, leave, and business on the home front, our numbers of enlisted staff, commissioned and senior officers are reaching significant lows. While manpower is being given the chance to naturally recover as duty cycles continue, standing officers are encouraged to work on squeezing the most efficiency out of each of their duty stations.
