Ok, and looking at questions 2 and 3.
A2: As for specific spot to take, it is relatively clear up to three ships from the diagrams given. If there are four or more, it is less clear. There was an earlier document on formation in which the different classes were lined up in terms of the heaviest being towards the front and the lighter vessels…[Read more]

Interesting comment Aposine, one that made me do a little bit of research on this. I found this:
Hard a starboard is order so to place the tiller as to bring the rudder over to the port-side of the stern-post, whichever way the tiller leads.
…
So ‘hard a starboard’ would mean ‘put your helm or tiller hard a starboard’. This would turn the…[Read more]

Here is the link to the new document detailing formations, attack patterns and manoeuvres.
Formations, Attack Patterns and Manoeuvres
I have added more detail into the section on manoeuvres, outlining and naming each with standard terminology. They are the simpler manoeuvres, which can be linked to make more complex sequences. For example, the…[Read more]

OK, I have taken a look at the most recent work on the Encyclopedia and will add it in to the PDF final version tomorrow. There are other bits of information coming through in the RP too, e.g. the Kralien technology from the holodeck RP simulation, perhaps the information about the medals and ribbons can go in there too, as well as some of the…[Read more]

We can definitely post it up.
As there were fewer officers than usual on shift, there is potential for a “second run” of the awards ceremony if there is enough demand and the SOs deem it fitting.

//Sorry it has been so long!
The energy from the capacitors causes the fields to flicker brightly then with a crack, the fields collapse. Vaj and Blaze barrel through the collapsed field, slamming in to the floor and ending in a heap around the console.
There are a few seconds of complete calmness and silence, a faint metallic/burnt smell in the…[Read more]

Xavier replied to the topic Further Explanation on Stardates in the forum (OOC) TSN Canon Development 1 week, 5 days ago
Note, the stardate is not ddmmyy. It is dmyy, where the day and month are one-digit or two digit numbers. So first May 2016 would not be 01 05 16, but 1 5 16. The tenth may would not be 10 05 16, but 10 5 16. Then you simply delete the space to make the date, so 1516 is 1st May 2016.
This is the most common error I see when people create the stardates.

@Mundy You see different sets of symbols next to small power coupling and small round silver tube, rounded at one end and about an inch on length at the base of the light fitting. Reading the symbols, you work out that the small tube reads ‘power capacitor’. The power coupling has morr Kralien script, representing the equivalent to a numbered…[Read more]

Can someone clarify what they mean by ‘Material Science’? I just need to know your thinking so I know how to apply it to the forums game.
Any feedback on the GM side of things? I have been able to check in regularly but have been waiting for more dialogue and action between characters.
Does the game feel to be progressing? I was wondering if I…[Read more]

The light panel cracks loudly, a fracture running through the plastic material to the top of the panel. Pulling harder, it comes loose with a snap. A shard hits the light tube shattering it and the cell is cast into a gloom. Another shard of the plastic material hits the force field which flares suddenly and deflects the plastic on…[Read more]

Pressing lightly against the field, Vaj feels a slight static kind of shock as well as pressure pushing back against his hand. The field flares are the point of contact, sending a ripple of energy thhat makes the field temporarily visible.
Trying again, and pushing harder, Vaj feels the same shock but with a greater intensity. Pushing again even…[Read more]

Example 2:
A lieutenant chooses not to boost combat training to ‘Condifent’. The officer does however want to specialise in close combat. Therefore, the officer boosts close combat to Confident. As a result, one of the combat training sub-modules must be reduced to Basic level.
Addition notes: You cannot become Expert in two Combat Training…[Read more]

As Mundy pulls on the light, it comes loose in the corner. The plastic cracks and a shard comes away in her hand.
Behind the plastic, she can see the light is being produced by a thin tube. A steady pulse of power flows through the tube from the bottom upward and in to the covered portion above. Below, the light is attached a small power conduit.
