Ribbons

Ribbons have been introduced as a way to recognise the commitment of officers on a day to day basis.

 

Ribbons are awarded when officers meet certain criteria. They can be awarded to an officer of any rank once the requirements are met. They are awarded on a regular basis to all eligible officers. Each available ribbon is outlined below:

	Service Ribbon	1 year of service
	Achievement Ribbon	For an officer who has shown great promise in their field
	Duty Officer	Awarded After completing a tour of duty as duty officer
	Public Relations Ribbon	Served with distinction in this department
	Training Service Ribbon	Served with distinction in this department
	Command Deck Service Ribbon	Served with distinction in this department
	Purple Heart	Awarded after being seriously Injured in the line of duty
