    OPERATIONAL DEBRIEFING FOLLOWS….

Surplus warhead components were transferred without incident from Promethean to address the critical shortage at Volantis Command.

Further aid was delivered to Zolmar’s Faction, this time in the form of a ruse to get Faction ships back across the border to Order controlled space. The division rendezvoused with the Zolmari and escorted them to the Sierra gate in sector IV where our allies broadcast Hegemony identification signals. Two large fleets of Hegemony ships entered the sector via the gate and the Division worked hard to request surrenders instead of destroying ships outright, so that the Zolmari could escape under the confusion of surrendered and fleeing vessels. The Faction ships safely exited the sector through Sierra gate in the midst of the battle, and the loyalist ships were defeated soon afterward.

The division returned to Volantis Command where they were assigned a search and rescue mission. A science convoy in Volantis XI had ceased communication after being attacked by Kraliens. The Division was ordered to rescue any life pods, defend any remaining ships, and find the attackers. The voyage from Volantis Command to sector XI was mostly uneventful, aside from a couple of Kralien scouting elements with Skaraan auxiliaries in sector X. Two Kralien commanding officers were captured after a successful boarding action by the Viper’s shuttle, Proteus. Upon entering sector XI, five life pods were detected as well as a single remaining science vessel and a few Kralien fleets hunting it. The fleets were neutralized with minimum expenditure of ordnance, three of the flagships were boarded and their commanders captured. A fourth flagship repelled our boarding party and was destroyed.

The division returned to Volantis Command without incident, and autopilot was engaged for the return to Promethean Command, where the prisoners were rendered to ONI for interrogation.

    OPERATIONAL DEBRIEFING ENDS….

    CURRENT FLEET INTELLIGENCE:

The Zolmari crews will be attempting to recruit additional sympathizers to their cause now that they have arrived in Kralien space. With any luck they will be able to find enough sympathizers to fund or join them that we will no longer be required to assist in defense of the Euphini Expanse.

The Kralien commanders we captured will be interrogated to determine their purpose behind their attacks on the science convoy, as well as to acquire any further intel regarding Hegemony operations in the area.

We are continuing research on the unknown object secured a couple shifts ago. Its harmful radiation emission has been suppressed with some tinkering and we have been able to conduct proper study on it, i.e. not contained within a secure rad-suppression chamber. It will still be some time before we can crack any valuable intel out of it though.

    MISSION PLANNING:
TSN Command anticipates that upcoming OPs will revolve around continuing to aid Zolmar’s Faction in various capacities. It is also likely a materials run will be scheduled, as Promethean Command base staff report a shortage of necessary ship components due to needed repairs and lost fleet craft.

    TACTICAL RECOMMENDATIONS:
Although a new flagship, the TSN Sabre, has been requisitioned, we should not expect her to arrive for several more cycles. Until then, and for that matter until the TSN is disbanded, all officers are advised to be meticulously careful to effect preventative maintenance on their ships, and command officers are advised not to take any unnecessary risks.

Officers are recommended to seek surrender of Kralien forces where possible, and capture their vessels in order to bolster Zolmar’s Faction numbers. Be advised that the Kralien Order has been deploying more and more well-equipped marine detachments as of late. Quick and decisive boarding actions will be key to ensuring successful capture of hostile craft. Remember that, unless you are carrying additional marines or Zolmari agents you will only have a single detachment available at any given time.

Should your crew and marines be unsuccessful in a boarding operation, you are advised to destroy the resisting ship immediately to deny the enemy their assets regardless, and to report to the nearest base immediately for replacement marines. Maintaining a marine detachment aboard your craft is vital at all times not just for offensive measures but also to repel hostile boarding attempts.
