O.N.I. required more information as to the intense Kralien and Skaraan interest in Professor McLinley. Therefore information was leaked that he would be returned to RS-48X and RS-82X in Arietis sector III, though in fact those stations were quietly evacuated of all civilian personnel in advance. 4LD took up a low emissions profile in the nearby nebula and successfully ambushed the arriving Skaraans despite the fragile presence of a veritable fleet of cruise liners heading for the Poseidon Rift. Prisoners and cargo were retrieved from crippled and surrendered hostiles. All assets from the mission were rendered to DS-91 in Atlantis Sector XIX.

4LD put in to Atlantis Command for rest and resupply. As they were leaving on routine patrol a distress call was received from DS-91 indicating they were under assault by a force of Kraliens with Skaraan auxiliaries. 4LD chased down the fast-moving Skaraans, intercepting them before they could make use of the Waypoint 52 Gate in Atlantis XIV. Returning rapidly they pursued the desperate remnants of the Kralien strike force and destroyed them in Atlantis XVIII before they could do any significant damage to Elnan, A’Aureln and RS-261.

CURRENT DIVISION INTELLIGENCE:
Kraliens very interested in Gate technology, to the point of paying Skaraans to kidnap a leading USFP scientist and to take the unusual step of recovering their personnel captured during the operations.
Relations with Hjorden improving rapidly after trade and border policing agreements were finalized.

MISSION PLANNING:
Whether Holtair or Hjorden, long range manoeuvres seem likely for the division. Sapient Intelligence seems to be at a premium in the current hostilities with the Kraliens.

TACTICAL RECOMMENDATIONS:
Reliability and endurance will be at a premium. All crews should ensure maintenance schedules exceed minimum requirements as much as possible and shipboard inventories are maximized and rigorously quality controlled. Xenology and Astrogation from first principles should be revised.
Fluid interoperation with Marine security forces should be the focus of short term operational readiness to resist Hegemony boarding actions and maximize the effectiveness of combined-forces actions.
