    SPECIAL INTELLIGENCE REPORT FOLLOWS…
Heptanites very wary but agreed to supply denabite in return for escort of a key convoy at risk from piracy.

Invictus stayed at Stormhold to complete her repairs and accept the delivery. Belligerent Kraliens appeared shortly after the convoy hailed and Invictus intercepted quickly. Seeing the numbers involved, she deployed all available heavy ordnance, picked off survivors and returned to Stormhold for resupply. The Heptanite transport was in the process of docking as her escorts moved off. There was a massive explosion which destroyed the station and caused a temporary systems blackout aboard Invictus. Supply ship Grant was also destroyed along with one of the Heptanite escorts. The remaining escort showed hostile and was destroyed. Invictus reported to Oblivion, formed up with Grant’s escorts, and made rendezvous with the rest of the group.

Oblivion, Relentless, and Excision successfully defended the convoy from increasing pirate interception attempts. When Invictus rejoined, all local forces turned hostile and 4HG fought a retreat through the Jump Gate and arrived in Hjorden-II. Local defenses responded promptly and in force with powerful cruisers and assisted by N’tani. 4HG fought through to the Cerberus gate pursued by fast N’tani hunter-killer battlecruisers which had to be destroyed before transit.

Further Hjorden forces attempted to interfere in Cerberus. Elements of the ISN 1BATCOM 3rd Assault Group on patrol took control of Serena Station to allow 4HG to resupply before accompanying them back to Promethean Command. They placed and triggered demolition charges in key station systems on departure. 3AG and 4HG returned to Promethean on auto-pilot. The crew of 4HG is maintaining quarantine protocol during the inter-shift period to ensure thorough cleansing of radiation contamination before coming aboard station.

    SPECIAL INTELLIGENCE REPORT ENDS…

    CURRENT GROUP INTELLIGENCE:
BREAKTHROUGH! Group Leader Xavier’s reset of access codes has opened up many more data cores. Many officers now have access to their own personal logs. Officers are advised to catch up on the latest Imperial newsfeeds as well.

4HG’s mission was extended reconnaissance into outer systems affected by the recent Kralien advances. Primarily Cerberus.

    MISSION PLANNING:
Our primary “mission” is to acquaint ourselves with local conditions and avoid losing our heads in the process, while finding a way home.
Now that we are back in Promethean, IMPNAVCOM will most likely have pending orders for us. It is clear that during our apparent absence the Hegemony have been making gains against the Empire, a trend that is beginning to reverse. There’s a lot of work ahead for us in this regard.

    TACTICAL RECOMMENDATIONS:
Officers should continue to prioritize forcing the retreat of hostile contacts encountered. However it has been determined that many of the locals seem unwilling to surrender. Our defense takes priority in such cases.
Officers are advised to continue training with the various quirks of their ships and develop an effective battle plan for all forms of hostiles.
