STARDATE 24218-2237SPECIAL INTELLIGENCE REPORT FOLLOWS…
As operations within Cerberus had been proceeding well, Commodore McCullough granted the 4th Hunters the honour of conducting Operation Shutdown following the usual battery of training simulations. One element of the Hunter Group was dispatched to Cerberus Sector I to secure that side of the gateline into Krisenda. Another element was sent through Waypoint 60 to enact the primary directive of the operation. With the assistance of 1BATCOM assault forces, the element consisting of Oblivion and Relentless was successful in securing Forward Command. The second element, consisting of Excision, was successful in infiltrating the occupied Krisenda Command, with a contingent of Marines and Engineers. These troops suppressed the local forces and inflicted the damage needed to render the Cerberus-Krisenda gate inoperable. Time was short, and Excision faced enemy forces retreating from Cerberus attempting to cut off their escape, but the second element was able to reunite with the Hunter Group before the gate lockdown sequence could trap them on the hostile side.
Following this successful op, more loyalty simulations were conducted, and were passed satisfactorily — honour and duty continue to guide the 4th Hunter Group well, even when their lives are exposed to the ultimate threat.
SPECIAL INTELLIGENCE REPORT ENDS…
CURRENT GROUP INTELLIGENCE:
Hegemony resistance pockets within Cerberus system are beginning to fold to Navy pressure. Loyalist forces hidden away in the sector I and IV nebulas have risen to aid in crushing the invaders. With the 4HG reconsolidated, we will need to move to finish the Cerberus System’s liberation.
MISSION PLANNING:
With Krisenda still cut off it is likely that anti-Empire elements will continue to fester within that system; it will likely be the Navy’s next primary military target in the Coreward Marches. Officers are advised to prepare accordingly, once Cerberus is secure.
TACTICAL RECOMMENDATIONS:
Show no mercy to the Hegemony dogs who have been subverting the Emperor’s guidance in Cerberus. Locate and re-educate any defectors.Communications staff protocols have been noted to be undergoing substantial revision as a result of the changes of the latest core software package. Officers assigned to the comms station should remain advised for any operating parameter shifts which trickle down to them.
